I'm Back

If you hadn't already noticed, I'm back in the blogosphere.

First up, I feel like I owe you a bit of an explanation.

I'm sorry I haven't blogged properly in weeks. I'm sorry I've abandoned you all for books. I'm sorry I've fallen off the face of the earth.

I came back to Adelaide after my incredible Summer feeling a bit depressed. Adelaide is lovely, all of my friends are here, I have a nice little house and this is where my proper life is. But Adelaide is also quiet and small, the public transport is pretty awful and it's synonymous with uni and having to study. When I first got back I immediately left again, delaying the inevitable blunt slap in the face from reality, and when I did finally come back properly, I had a serious case of holiday blues.

I missed hopping from place to place, discovering new beaches and new people, and knowing that there would be something exciting happening every day. And it was from that point on that I fell into a bit of a slump.

Don't get me wrong, I've still been having a great time. I've not felt sad or lonely or homesick, in fact on the whole, I've probably had a more exciting semester than last year but in the back of my mind I've just felt a little 'bleeeeh'.

I'd become a bit disillusioned with blogging. I didn't feel there was anything very blog worthy going on in my life and every time I thought I could find something interesting I just couldn't be bothered to write it. I'd lost all inspiration.

Then one night, as I was pretending to revise, I stumbled across this little video.

And with that, I was inspired.

I realised I needed to start appreciating the little things day to day so I took a whack at the 100 Happy Days tag on Instagram. (I'm still going strong, so if you don't already follow me, pop on over to beci_td).

I've also decided to expand this blog a bit. I'm going to start sharing the smaller things that happen with you, like recipes, TV shows, music, beauty products, you name it. I want to keep you more up to date so I'm going to try and do a little thing I like to call 'Weekly Inspo' where I collect together all the things I've found around the web that have inspired me throughout the week.

So, yeah, I'm back and let's make a start with a May Favourites playlist. Yes I know we're nearly a week into June already but it's a little treat for getting through this wordy old post. (Just click on the picture!)
